Supporting mental health through Crisis Services, School Services and Training & Education. 24/7 Hotline: 315-251-0600.
About us
Contact Community Services is a multi-faceted organization that supports the social, emotional, behavioral and mental health of children, youth and adults. We deliver this support through three broad program areas: Crisis Intervention Services, School Support Services and Training & Education. We provide a free, confidential 24-hour/7-day a week counseling, suicide/crisis hotline and referral service for individuals looking for information on health and human services agencies. We answer calls on our local Contact Hotline, 211CNY calls and serve as a crisis call center for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline throughout the Central New York region, as well as Westchester, Albany, Greene and Columbia counties. We also support academic achievement by addressing barriers to learning. We provide youth development programs; behavioral intervention programs; social and emotional learning programs; school-based mental health and substance abuse counseling; and school-wide substance abuse awareness programs. We are currently located in five school districts throughout Central New York providing these support services to administrators, teachers and students. Additionally, Contact provides suicide prevention and mental health training to community organizations, business and school districts all free of charge throughout CNY. Our classes teach individuals how to recognize suicide warning signs, assess risk, respond in a supportive manner, intervene, connect a person with a trained professional or community resource, and develop a safety plan.

Last month our Assistant Director of Crisis Services, Katie Lemery-White and our Community Referral Coordinator, Sal Gallo represented 211 CNY at the 2024 Inform USA Conference - The Grand Gathering in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Inform USA is the accrediting body for the information and referral (I&R) sector, and this conference was an incredible opportunity to meet, network, and learn from our peers in the field. We are proud to be a part of such an inspiring community dedicated to providing essential resources and support. 🌐💙 #ContactCommunityServices #211CNY #InformUSA #Networking #CommunitySupport #CrisisServices

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈 In honor of Pride Month, we want to showcase the incredible SUNY ESF Pride/Holi Celebration we attended in April. It was a fantastic event, and we’re excited to share some highlights with you now. Let's continue to uplift and support each other, not just during Pride Month, but every day! #PrideMonth #LGBTQSupport #MentalHealthMatters

We are grateful to Oswego Health for inviting us to participate in a Community Conversation Around Mental Health at the McCrobie Civic Center last week! It was amazing to connect with and learn from others in varying roles within the community about how we can best support ourselves and those that may be struggling with their mental health. Remember, if you or someone you know is in crisis OR needs resources within their community, help is just a call, text, or chat away. 📞📱 Dial or text 988 or chat via 988lifeline.org for crisis support and Dial 211 for local health and human service referrals #MentalHealthAwareness #CommunitySupport #ContactCommunityServices #OswegoHealth #988Lifeline #211Helpline #CrisisConnect
