It's been a week since the launch of Convene in Cape Town, South Africa. We are excited to share an update on the event. Below, you will find inspiring words from Ariana van der Westhuizen, Executive Assistant, and Lee Truax, VP of Business Development and International Initiatives, reflecting on the success and significance of this milestone event: "What a blessing it was to have a beautiful sunny day in the middle of winter here in Cape Town—a perfect sign that this was going to be a day to remember. We are thrilled to share that the launch of Convene in Cape Town was a resounding success. With 35 attendees—a 90/10 split between prospective members and connectors—we took an unconventional yet highly effective approach. By immersing the connectors in the Convene experience, we reminded them of the immense value this partnership can bring to those who need it most. The feedback we received both during and after the event has been overwhelmingly positive. After our heartfelt thank you letter, the responses have only strengthened our belief in the potential of this initiative. We’ve prayed over this day for a long time, and we are confident that it will bear fruit very soon. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey. We could not have done this without the support of the US office. With that said we are both grateful and thankful to our heavenly Father." Ariana van der Westhuizen, Executive Assistant. “Our God has a global heart… and it’s very clear He is on the move globally. Convene is helping people experience and reflect His heart in their businesses to His glory!” Lee Truax, VP of Business Development and International Initiatives.

Our nation declared itself to be an independent nation on July 4th, 1776. Our independence from England was hard-fought, and our first years as a nation were embroiled in struggles and controversy. Fast forward 248 years, and we find that some things haven’t changed, including some leadership attributes. In 1776, it took courage by our founding fathers. Today it takes courage to lead your businesses, your communities, and your life through the ever-changing landscape of our culture. In 1776, Our forefathers relied on their faith and biblical wisdom to guide them. What a legacy to know that inscribed into the Liberty Bell is Leviticus 25:10, “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” Today, a leader who honors Christ is guided by their faith and the living Word of God and so named the ‘living Word’ because biblical wisdom stands the test of time and is ever applicable - no matter the century. At Convene, a leader is surrounded by a council of advisors – holding them accountable to doing business (and life) God’s way. This weekend, we have much to celebrate: We celebrate the opportunity to gather with friends and family to commemorate our nation’s independence. We celebrate the political freedom and religious liberty we enjoy because of the sacrifice of generations past. Most importantly, we celebrate the freedom and liberty God provides for all His people, no matter where they live. To reflect on what God says about freedom, here are some verses for you this 4th of July: Galatians 5:1 (GNTD) "Freedom is what we have—Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again." Romans 6:22 (GNTD) "But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to him, and the result is eternal life." Isaiah 61:1 (GNTD) "The Sovereign Lord has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me to bring good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to announce release to captives and freedom to those in prison." Romans 8:1-2 (GNTD) "There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death." Have a blessed 4th of July from all of us at Convene!

Raising children who are kind, compassionate and productive is an essential part of preparing them to launch. Another important component is helping them learn to manage money wisely. Whether your kids (or grandkids) are littles, still in school, just graduated high school, college, or newly married, this week’s Convene blog, ‘Financial Education for the Next Generation’ is an essential read. We’re grateful for our Partners at BlueTrust for sharing their wisdom and strategies to raise up the next generation of financially wise stewards. In our culture, it’s easier than ever to get financially ‘stuck’. According to Blue Trust, a study recently revealed only 24% of Millennials (those born between 1980 and the mid-90’s) demonstrate basic financial knowledge and 81% already have at least one long-term debt. We encourage you to read and pass the wisdom of this article along – there’s no better time to begin than, ‘now.’ Read the full article here: https://hubs.ly/Q02CH4hv0
