Yesterday, Cord Meyer PM Randi Lucas had the pleasure of adding her vast knowledge to a panel at the BuiltWorlds Construction Tech Conference in Chicago, where she discussed the best strategies for optimizing jobsite logistics.
It's been a day of rich, insightful content, conversations and connecting at the Construction Tech Conference...and we're only halfway through the day. Already we've heard from Robert Leon, chief innovation officer with STO Building Group, who set the tone for the day, recounting the history and evolution of construction tech into the modern day, emphasizing the role innovation has and continues to play in the industry's progress. To learn more from Robert Leon, check out his recently posted Q+A: https://lnkd.in/gr3EjNeq We heard from innovation experts from TrueLook Construction Cameras, Sundt Construction, Kiewit, and On3 about the opportunity to enhance site safety through technologies like wearable devices, IoT sensors, virtual reality simulations, predictive analytics, and more. We heard the story of Trunk Tools from the company's founder and CEO Sarah Buchner, who was joined by Michael Trenski, director of construction technology at AMLI Residential, to help explain how leveraging technology and fostering collaborative environments can help to mitigate risks, reduce costs, and ensure timely project delivery. And we heard experts from Bundle, Veyor, Barton Malow, and Cord Meyer Development Company discuss the best strategies for optimizing jobsite logistics, from advanced tracking systems and digital supply chain platforms to Just-in-Time delivery models and lean construction principles. We heard all of that...before lunch. Needless to say, we're excited for all that's still left to come.
