“What has really come to light for me is the tenacity and the tireless resolve of our physicians, who dedicate their lives to the patients they serve,” Jason Lockard said. “They’re unwavering in doing the right thing for our patients at all times, every time, and I think that’s what’s really encouraged me. It’s not just that we’re trying to deliver the best care to patients; it’s how hard our physicians work at doing the right thing and making sure our patients are taken care of.” Read the DBusiness Magazine article at https://lnkd.in/g6KvPQqk

Last week, Corewell Health was represented at the Maternal Infant Health Summit https://lnkd.in/drx7TSM by: Shontreal Cooper, M.D., MPH; Rebecca Crawford, M.S.; Lyanna Moore, CD, CLS, CBE; and Elnora Neely. The team presented "Maternal Weathering: A Roadmap to Health, Equity and Prosperity." Cheryl Wolfe, M.D., MBA and Amanda N. Rostic, MPH; presented "Delivering While Black." “As a physician of color, I felt seen. The conference demonstrated its commitment to decolonizing data and taking an anti-racist approach to maternal child health research and practice. It was evident in the way all the speakers presented, as the way they made sure to report health inequities in the work they were doing while also providing action items to move the needle towards progression.” – Dr. Cooper “The MIH Summit felt like home. So many thought leaders from diverse backgrounds sharing their expertise in the Maternal and Infant health space. I loved the engagement of the speakers and the data driven solutions for challenges we face in the health equity work we do every day. ” – Dr. Wolfe
