Yesterday our board members and committee members had the opportunity to get together to do what we do best - VOLUNTEER! Thank you to Greater Twin Cities United Way for hosting an amazing Action Day! Our crew had so much fun packing 400 backpacks for elementary students, doing our part to help erase limits for Twin Cities students this school year✏️📒🖍️📚💌

When you think of impactful volunteerism, is there a person in your life that comes to mind who is always first to raise their hand to help out? At Corporate Volunteerism Council - Twin Cities, the first people we think of are our Heroes through Service recipients! At our 2024 Annual Celebration we were honored to once again recognize some incredible individuals from across our member organizations for going above and beyond. These individuals are continuously making an impact in their communities by dedicating their time, skills, kindness, passion and much more to volunteerism and other opportunities within their organization as well as in their personal lives. As we head into the time of year where support for back-to-school initiatives, days of service, giving campaigns, preparing for the upcoming Minnesota winter and Holidays, and more is in full swing - we are so grateful for the individuals who embody what it means to be a Hero through Service year-round. This year our Leadership to Legacy panel brought so much fruitful discussion to our Annual Celebration. Our panelists dove into questions around what leadership looks like and can look like in the future for CSR and Nonprofit leaders with an emphasis on community. Some of the key sentiments shared and takeaways included: *The importance taking the opportunity to business skills to community to build leadership *Taking the time to learn about new ways to do things outside of the workplace (in community) *Stepping out and making new space for leadership alongside the incoming generations *Continue to always seek (and never underestimate the power of) Connection Thank you to our amazing moderator, Dan Schibel - MBA and keynote panelists D. Last month we hosted Corporate Volunteerism Council - Twin Cities' Annual Celebration and it was such a wonderful event! We connected, laughed, listened & learned, said "cheers", and celebrated our many community leaders. Before we share more highlights from this incredible evening, we want to gush about our incredible Annual Celebration Committee who made every single part of the event come to life. Congratulations to Feed My Starving Children for their success during the 2024 Pack at the Park event at Target Field! Since 2016, this event has generated over 15,500 volunteers and over 172 business groups - wow! At this year's Pack at the Park some of our other Corporate Volunteerism Council - Twin Cities members including ECMC Group, General Mills, Minnesota Twins, UnitedHealth Group, U.S. Bank, Winnebago Industries and Xcel Energy brought their volunteers to join in on all the fun! Another showcase of the strength that lies within community.

Today is the day! We could not be more excited to celebrate with you at our Annual Celebration beginning at 3:00 p.m. today at Solar Arts Building!
