In the wake of the devastating floods that struck Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil in May, affecting thousands of residents and causing widespread destruction to homes, infrastructure, and the agricultural sector, Corteva stepped up to support the affected communities with a donation of US$100,000 to a local NGO partner, Foco Empreendedor. Additionally, the company donated 2,500 bags of seeds to support local agriculture, which was severely impacted and represents a key driver of the local economy in the state. Corteva's commitment went beyond financial aid. Motivated by a spirit of solidarity and compassion, employees in Brazil volunteered over 2,000 hours to assist local communities. Their efforts were crucial in distributing 6 tons of essential supplies, including food, hygiene products, cleaning materials, water, and clothing. By partnering with Foco Empreendedor and engaging in employee volunteer efforts, Corteva aims to support relief efforts and aid those affected by the floods in Brazil. The goal is to provide practical assistance and help foster resilience during this challenging time.

Today, we are celebrating the grand opening of our Anderson, Indiana seed distribution center, our largest in North America! The 300,000 square-foot facility receives and distributes corn and soybean seeds to sales teams and ultimately farmers in Indiana and Southern Ohio. We thank our collaborators Scannell Properties, Southshore Companies, and the City of Anderson for helping us achieve this milestone. We’re honored to be a part of the greater Anderson community and are pleased to announce charitable donations to Second Harvest Food Bank in Madison County and the Lapel FFA chapter. #KeepGrowing #CortevaGrows #LifeAtCorteva Ryan White @Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. Scannell Properties National FFA Organization

"The wide gap between agricultural service providers and farmers has created an information deficit. This deficit can be bridged by using advanced digital tools for farmer advisory. These tools have revolutionized the ways farmers approach pest and disease management. Digital calculators assist farmers in making more informed decisions regarding applying pesticides and fungicides for their crops. Effective crop protection requires the right data insights to support evidence-based choices and help farmers make informed decisions." - Dr. Malvika Choudhary, Regional Coordinator for Asia at Plantwise, Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International. We aim to support biodiversity and regenerative agriculture on 25 million acres by 2030. Achieving this requires: 1. A deep understanding of how nature impacts biodiversity preservation. 2. Establishing the right precedents for harmonizing agriculture for a sustainable and financially resilient world. With these as the foundational objectives, we are committed to fostering a nature-positive impact in the industry. Our approach includes concentrating on scientific product and productivity innovations, forming partnerships to facilitate change at the end-user level, and actively investing in farmer stewardship.

Last week, our colleagues had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Andrew Schofer, Deputy Chief of Mission at US Embassy Islamabad and Ms. Kristin Hawkins, Consul General Lahore along with their team at our Corteva Research Centre in Punjab, Pakistan. We had an engaging discussion about Corteva’s purpose and values, as well as investment in the development of agriculture in the country. In particular, Corteva has been a leader in the development of hybrid corn to Pakistan with our heritage company Pioneer and are committed to looking at new ways to increase our offerings to farmers. The Research Center was set up to serve farmers’ needs by providing them with high quality seeds and crop protection products along with agronomic support and services. To commemorate this visit and mark the start of the autumn planting campaign season, our guests planted tree plants at the research site. Corteva aims to continue improving our investment and offerings in the coming years so that farmers can develop the best planting programs according to their requirements.

We have partnered with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) and Agrinnovate India to leverage innovative 'Herbicide-Tolerant Trait Donor Rice Genotype' technology. This collaboration enables us to develop advanced HT rice hybrids, supporting farmers in transitioning from water-intensive puddled transplant rice (PTR) to sustainable dry direct seeded rice (DDSR) method. These new hybrids will help combat weeds, minimize yield loss, and protect crops from pests and diseases, addressing labor shortages and promoting sustainable farming practices. #keepgrowing #initforgood #cropprotection #smartfarming #sustainability #sustainableagriculture #rice #cultivation.
