"Contemporary skyscrapers are no longer isolated objects but integrated into the city fabric at street level" - CTBUH CEO Francisco Javier Quintana de Uña in a Forbes article about the evolving nature of skyscrapers. https://lnkd.in/g7Tgj-ns Interviewed by Alyn Griffiths, Quintana highlights that there is a pivotal shift happening “from taller to better, from quantitative to qualitative.” Today, height is no longer the sole measure of success. It is now in the form of sustainability, responsible density, affordability, well-being, and user experience. Skyscrapers are redefining cities with timber and hybrid structures, biophilia and greenery, and more strategies for increasing space in the public realm. At any height, we must remember that every high-rise touches the ground floor and the citizens around it. #UrbanDevelopment #Sustainability #Skyscrapers #CTBUH #CityPlanning #FutureCities
