The District One Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) issued its preliminary project scoring for #CleanOhio grants in Cuyahoga County. Both project applications met minimum funding requirements. The NRAC will discuss and potentially finalize scoring of these two projects at their next meeting on August 28, 2024.

Last month we released a progress report on our Single-Family #zoningreform work being undertaken by the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission with our partners. There are more than 13,000 parcels that no longer require variances because of code updates in Cuyahoga County--and one more community is on the cusp of adopting changes soon. Today, we celebrated the start of construction on the transformative 2.7-mile North Marginal Trail between E. 9th and E. 55th streets on Cleveland’s east side lakefront! The new trail is a partnership between Cuyahoga County, which will manage construction of the project, the Cleveland Metroparks, which will manage and operate the trail once constructed, and the City of Cleveland. We're thankful for the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation and the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) for their generous support on this project. Cheers to better connectivity and an improved lakefront, Cuyahoga! Read more at bit.ly/3WH5fqI.

Packed house for the APA Ohio Advocacy Day event last night at Merwin's Wharf! Thank you to everyone for making this such a special event, but a special thank you to our state representatives Daniel Troy (House District 23), Kent Smith (Senate District 21), Bride Rose Sweeney (House District 16), and Branden Agnew (aid to Steve Demetriou, House District 35) for coming out and speaking with us about how we can better serve our communities. Also, a very special thank you to the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission and the First Suburbs Consortium for their presentation on decreasing barriers to infill housing in our inner-ring suburbs. You can find the report on their work here: https://lnkd.in/gq4c6mNi
