🏥 Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take an ultrasound or even participate in an anatomy lab? Well, 23 of our students were able to do just that more by participating in the 2024 Health Sciences Academy at Eastern Virginia Medical School! 🏥 Our students were joined by students from Portsmouth Public Schools and Northhampton Schools in a 2-week exploratory program that allowed students to learn about the different health sciences occupations and careers. 🥼 It provided a knowledge of career building and technical skills to understand how to be successful in this industry. Students received hands-on experience through pathology, anatomy, physiology lab work, and suturing, and even traveled to Old Dominion University to practice speech therapy, dental hygiene, nursing, and more! After 31 years of service to the Deep Creek High School Hornets, teacher, coach, and long-time athletic director Mr. T. Benjamin "Benny" Polk was celebrated last night with the dedication of the school gymnasium in his honor! 💜 Under his watch, the Hornets have secured numerous regional and state titles, and student-athletes have gone on to secure college scholarships and play professionally in their respective sports. 🏈⚽⚾ Congratulations, Mr. Polk! #CPSCelebrates

Damuth Trane is excited to announce the addition of seven new HVAC Apprentices to our Service Team! Brenton, Ryan, Jasmeen, and Carter began their 4-year Apprenticeship Program with us on May 20, then Alex and Gavin officially "signed on" with Damuth at Chesapeake Career Center's Signing Day event on May 30, and finally, Will joined us this Monday!
