We’re excited to announce a two-day fundraiser for the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program! Community members are invited to support the program, which aims to empower youth artisans to pursue creative entrepreneurship by teaching entrepreneurial skills and providing free, enriching afterschool arts instruction and mentoring. Students who take part in the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program are additionally offered a space at Kid Row, a Saturday-only pop-up market at the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival dedicated to uplifting and empowering Utah’s next generation of creative makers. This year’s Kid Row will take place Saturday, August 10, from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and gives artists 18 and under the opportunity to sell their work, learn business skills and kickstart their dreams of owning a creative business. Donations benefiting the Youth Artisan Entrepreneur Program can be made from now until 11:59 p.m. MDT on Wednesday, March 27. You can donate through Venmo (@craftlakecity1) or Donorbox: https://lnkd.in/gM6y-J-D

Did you catch our Celebration of the Hand and Local Voices installations this year? From our partnerships with Red Butte Garden, Equality Utah and International Rescue Committee to the celebration of our organization’s 15th year along with our current gallery of photos by local photographer Russel Albert Daniels, these installations have allowed us to highlight 33 local artisans across five public art installations displayed in 14 large frames along Broadway (300 S) at the heart of downtown Salt Lake City in 2023. Donate $150 on #GivingTuesday tomorrow and you can cover the cost of printing and installing one plakat: https://lnkd.in/gkdT7-gP

In 2023, we expanded our Scholarship & Mentor Program with two new scholarship types—the ArtAbility Scholarship and the LGBTQ+ Scholarship! Alongside the existing Artisan Scholarship, we added this program to the Holiday Market Inclusion Program for the first time. This resulted in a 400% expansion of our initiatives and the provision of scholarships to 20 emerging local artisans. Donate $100 this #GivingTuesday season and provide a stipend to mentors who train and support emerging artisans in our Scholarship & Mentor Program and Sponsored Entrepreneurs Program: https://lnkd.in/gkdT7-gP
