Rachel Ciprotti and Cassi Costoulas attended Southeast Dreamin' in Atlanta, Georgia! They had a wonderful time connecting with colleagues in the Salesforce nonprofit ecosystem and even took the stage for a game show in the style of Family Feud. The breakout sessions were insightful and deeply collaborative, with a specific focus on Nonprofit Cloud. “I always enjoy this event. Nonprofit organizations were well-represented, both as attendees and presenters. The content of the sessions was excellent this year. There is a strong sense of camaraderie at this event and we are already looking forward to Southeast Dreamin' 2025!” - Rachel Ciprotti #Salesforce #SED24 #SoutheastDreamin

Last week, Linnaia McKenzie and BJ Cortis attended the Dreamin' In Color Conference! This is a pivotal conference for Black, Latinx, and Hispanic #Salesforce professionals and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Here are Linnaia’s top highlights from the conference: 📍⚜️ New Orleans, LA I am proud to say this was my first Salesforce conference and what a tremendous first impression it was. #DreaminInColor picked the perfect location, which beautifully captured the essence of what the conference was created for: elevating the voices and accomplishments of Black and Brown Trailblazers in the Salesforce ecosystem. Celebrating Juneteenth (June 19th) on day one of the conference in the heart of New Orleans was incredible. As part of the conference, we got to have the true NOLA dining and musical experiences. The oysters, beignets and po' boys made it that much sweeter to come together and celebrate this community's presence in the Salesforce ecosystem. 🍎📚 There was so much to learn! The variety of sessions were helpful and informative. It easily activated my brainstorming process for potential sessions to submit next year. Sessions covered everything from AI tools to becoming a Salesforce Partner. Three of the sessions I was able to attend stand out the most: BRGs are Your New BFFs Panel. A panel discussion about how to grow from participation in Employee + Business Resource Groups and how they can support you on your career journey. Bridging the Gap: Crafting Training for Diverse Learning Styles & Generations. A session focused on how to create Salesforce training sessions that cater to users across different learning styles and generations. Unlocking Practical Strategies: The Mitosis Model for Seamless Salesforce Change. A session focused on change management! The speaker uses the stages of Mitosis to outline the best steps to take when ushering clients through the release of new features, training, etc. By far, my favorite! 🤝✉️ New Connections We got the opportunity to connect with so many great people on their Salesforce journey: some are just starting out, some have been in the ecosystem for 15+ years; all were welcome to share their future goals, network, and "dare to dream". Representing CTG allowed us to inform others about our employee-ownership model, becoming a Certified #BCorp, and our work in the #nonprofit sector. We extend our congratulations to Sègun De Silva, who received the Beacon Award at the event! Overall, I would love to see CTG's presence with this conference grow. We bring a lot of great services to this space; one of them being our intentionality to work with the nonprofit sector only and how we are helping clients work toward their organization's world-changing missions. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to represent CTG, alongside BJ, at this event! #DreaminInColor24

  • Opportunity Finance Network once again organized an outstanding Small Business Finance Forum for mission-driven lenders! Jenna Bergquist and Lily Leavitt from our team connected with our CDFI colleagues at a pivotal moment of growth in the social finance sector. With sessions including climate action, data-driven impact, restorative capital and more, this event provides strategies and tools to marshal the collective power of small business to advance positive social change. “I am struck by the spirit of cooperation and partnership that permeates the CDFI industry. It is this spirit that will help the industry rise up to the challenge of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), a new and significant track within the #SBFF sessions this year.” - Lily Leavitt Thank you to the OFN team for convening this incredible community. #SBFF24 #OFN #CDFI #GGRF #Climate

  • Yesterday, Lily Leavitt hosted a session about Loan Management Systems at Oweesta Corporation’s Capital Access Convening! Lily is shown here describing our CDFI Accelerator, which leverages the enterprise CRM capabilities of Salesforce and the data visualization of Tableau. “As I left the beautiful desert terrain of Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, I reflected on one of the final panel sessions on narrative change and navigating systems of power. To me, this conference was all about enabling Native CDFIs to own their narratives and bring about transformational change through strength and unity. They are activating resources to establish homeownership, small businesses, and community services.  Native communities are the original stewards of the environment and they finally have the financial resources to continue this work through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. Each loan provided by a Native CDFI has a story behind it - a story of one individual, linked to one family, one tribe, one community, one nation.  I look forward to hearing these stories blossom as the Native CDFI movement continues to thrive and grow.” - Lily Leavitt #OCAC24 #NCDFIs #CDFI #Salesforce

Lily Leavitt is in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico this week for Oweesta Corporation’s Capital Access Convening! “Today is my first time attending Oweesta's Capital Access Convening and so far the event has been incredibly inspiring! During the day, the sessions focused on empowerment, resilience and participation amongst Native American communities. I was especially excited about the session on how Native CDFIs access Green Funding Programs. While we have been talking to a number of clients about the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), this panel discussion made it real for me as Chrystel Cornelius (President & CEO of Oweesta Corporation), Pete Upton (Chairperson, CEO of Native CDFI Network, Inc.) and Talia Martin (Director of Tribal Programs at GRID Alternatives ) spoke to a packed room about GGRF funds deployment, timing, building demand, and engaging Native Communities in this effort. The evening was capped off by the Native Awards dinner, where 45 tribal nations came together as a community for recognition and celebration!” - Lily Leavitt #OCAC24 #NCDFIs #CDFI
