✅ bucket list item — hold a life size check, on stage, for a meaningful prize 🎉 WunderEggs won 1st place at the 2024 Albertsons Companies Innovation Launchpad competition that 680 national food & beverage brands applied for. 60 companies were selected as finalists and we took the grand prize!! All those grueling years of conviction and running through walls has culminated into this moment. To make this even sweeter, I had the opportunity to share the stage with my two kids who played a big part in the pitch itself, along with Jim Foltz (VP, Business Ventures at Albertsons), Gineal Davidson (Group VP, National Merchandising) and Karen Ivanis-Rogers (Senior Director of Ventures at Albertsons Companies). The entire staff made the whole experience so fun, from the moment you show up at the ballroom, to when the doors open to a fast paced 10 minute pitch session with the judges, to the experience after. All welcoming smiles, and high energy took the pressure off the contestants, and we simply had a blast! Thank you Andress Blackwell for teaching my 11 year old how to give a firm handshake and Mandee Day day for giving her a shot in front of the camera where she cartwheeled her way into the hearts of the communications team. Deeply grateful for our judges Lynn Warin and Ashley Odom, Jae Park from Business Ventures team, and Christine Chan-Dankwardt for making us feel so welcome.
