On July 24th, we hosted our 5th Annual Minority & Small Business Outreach Event at the Innovation Barn. We are pleased to see how this event has grown over the years and not only includes construction focused businesses but also marketing, event planning, graphic design and more. We hope this event continues to grow and more MWBE businesses are able to make meaningful connections. Shepherd Reynolds, John Taylor and Tracy Chambers presented to the group about the purpose and goals of this event while many other colleagues attended and engaged in collaborative discussions to help foster new opportunities and partnerships. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a success! We look forward to continuing this journey together.

In July, our team had the opportunity to work with Nourish Up to pack up boxes with produce and pantry staples. During this event, we were able to distribute food to 127 families in Charlotte at Freedom Communities. We are always proud to give back to our community and work with the team at Nourish Up!

Our Summer Associates recently partnered with Digi-Bridge to create 100 Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) robotics kits for students across the Charlotte community. 🤖 Digi-Bridge ignites interest and persistence in STEAM learning, ensuring students in underrepresented communities have the access, opportunities, and skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world. These curriculum kits will help introduce students to STEAM fields and provide opportunities for success in the digital age. We are proud to work with Digi-Bridge to support the next generation of innovators and leaders as we further our mission of building community and bettering people’s lives!
