This weekend, I had an eye-opening conversation with a family member who is working a summer job in the restaurant industry. She shared some concerning details about how her company schedules employees, many of whom are minors. The shift supervisors and managers, aged 17-20, lack the proper training to create both effective and compliant schedules. They’re unaware of current labor laws, especially those governing minor labor, putting their company at significant risk. Not to mention the possibility of accruing hefty fines 💵 .
