I am thrilled and humbled to announce that I have been awarded the Torgesen Leadership Scholarship by the Student Engineers' Council at Virginia Tech. It’s a privilege to be one of the recipients this year and to join the lineage of students who embody the spirit of leadership and commitment Dr. Torgesen fostered. I believe that this award is a collective achievement; it belongs to every individual who has inspired, challenged, and supported me along this journey. I am forever thankful for friends like Blake Marterella and Giovanni Romero-Ruiz in my life, whose relentless dedication to strengthening the Computer Science community at Virginia Tech, work ethic, and belief in the power of collaboration and growth have been a constant source of inspiration. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Joan Monahan Watson for believing in me and my peers, and for supporting our mission with CS Careers @ VT and our community. Yet, there is still more work to be done.
