Founded in 1874, Willard, Ohio, has been home to railroaders for 150 years. Our #ONECSX team was proud to take part in Willard's sesquicentennial anniversary parade to help celebrate this community and its dedicated residents. CSX has reached tentative 5-year collective bargaining agreements with 7 additional labor unions, providing better pay, health care & paid time off benefits. They include: the BMWED, IAM, SMART-TD covering yardmasters, BRC covering carmen at the Fruit Growers Express, TCU covering the clerical craft at Fruit Growers Express, ARASA covering mechanical department supervisors, and the BOJC covering mechanical department foremen/supervisors. CSX has secured new 5-year tentative agreements with the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers – Mechanical Division (SMART-MD) and the American Train Dispatchers Association (ADTA). These agreements, reached well ahead of the national rail labor discussions, include increased wages and enhanced benefits for employees. CSX has proactively reached tentative 5-year agreements with the TCU, BRC, and SMART-TD representing employees on the Northern mid-Atlantic District territory – covering about 25% of our union workforce. “We thank the organizations for working with us to demonstrate that our #ONECSX culture and values aren’t just words, they are our collective path forward to an improved experience for both our employees and customers,” said CSX President and CEO Joe Hinrichs. The tentative agreements, which are subject to ratification by the unions’ membership at CSX, come more than four months before the current collective agreements become amendable under the federal Railway Labor Act. Our CSX Family Day in Richmond, Virginia was a great success! Employees and their families came together for a day filled with laughter, games, and delicious food. From a petting zoo to face painting and train rides, the activities were a hit with both kids and adults.
