CU Integrated Plastic Surgery interviews will be held in person at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus on Friday, January 24, 2025, and Monday, January 27, 2025. The Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency Program at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine is a six-year program with initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The first three years of training include general and plastic surgery while the final three years are plastic surgery specific. We offer 2 positions per year. Applications to our program are accepted from applicants who are registered with the National Resident Match Program (NMRP). Close collaboration with the surgeons, hospital and clinic staff will be necessary. Eligibility for prescriptive authority is required. Cleft lip and palate surgery is a multi-procedure, multidisciplinary process that follows a patient over the first two decades of their life says Phuong Nguyen, professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery in the University of Colorado Department of Surgery. "There's a spectrum of presentation that includes the lip, the palate, and the gum line, and those have implications not just on facial appearance, but on function, feeding, speech, breathing — all sorts of things that are going to affect their lives and livelihood.
