Top Ecommerce Email Marketer & Agency Owner | We’ve sent over 1 billion emails for our clients resulting in $200+ million in email attributable revenue.

Getting people into your email list is relatively easy. Getting those people to buy from you is more challenging. If you're struggling with turning subscribers into customers, read & bookmark this: Below is a proven 6-step email sequence to turn subscribers into buyers. I'll provide a simple format for each step so you can write each email accordingly. Note that this works for Ecommerce and personal brands (with a few adjustments). Let's begin 👇 Step 1) Welcome Email: Introduce your brand, set expectations, and deliver the opt-in offer. Use this format: >> Welcome to [brand]! >> Here's what you can expect: >> [What they can expect] >> Before you close this email: >> [Here's the opt-in offer we promised] When to send: immediately after they join. Step 2) Story Email: Share your brand's or personal story. Use this format: >> Our story at [brand] >> How it all started: >> [Engaging brand story] >> Want to know more? >> [Link to blog/about page] When to send: 1-2 days after the welcome email. Step 3) Problem Email: Highlight the main problem your product solves. Use this format: >> Experiencing [problem]? >> [Make the problem hurt] >> We've got the solution: >> [Introduce your product] >> [Link to product page] When to send: 2-3 days after the story email. Step 4) Social Proof Email: Showcase your product's social proof. Use this format: >> Still not convinced? >> See what others are saying: >> [Testimonials or case studies] >> Ready to join them? >> [CTA to product page] When to send: 2-3 days after the problem email. Step 5) Incentive Email: Encourage a purchase by reminding them of the opt-in offer (likely a discount): Use this format: >> A special offer for you: >> Get [X]% off [product] >> [Show product with discount] >> Offer expires on [date] >> [CTA to product with discount] When to send: 1-2 days after the social proof email. Step 6) Urgency Email: Create a sense of urgency to drive action. Use this format: >> Last chance to save! >> [X]% off ends in [timer] >> Here's what you'll get: >> [Recap of the offer] >> [CTA to product with discount] When to send: 1 day after the incentive email.

Your title doesn't make you a leader. How you choose to treat your employees does. Loyal employees are your greatest asset—lose their trust, and you've lost your foundation. What to avoid as a leader: ❌ Taking people for granted: ↳ Not feeling valued is a top reason people disengage and leave. ❌ Rewarding your high-performers with more work: ↳ Reward them by supporting their career aspirations instead. ❌ Not matching salaries for loyal employees with those of new hires: ↳ This disrespects your loyal employees and will erode trust. ❌ Ignoring employee feedback: ↳ Don't dismiss employee insights about what could be improved. ❌ Tolerating low performance from others: ↳ Don't accept it - offer guidance and support instead. What to do as a leader: ✅ Recognize impact and contributions: ↳ Build a habit of consistent, genuine appreciation. ✅ Provide growth opportunities: ↳ Listen to their career aspirations without making assumptions. ↳ Before hiring externally, see if you can promote from within. ✅ Help them connect the dots: ↳ Many employees have diverse experiences and non-linear career paths. ↳ Discuss how they can grow and advance to the next level. ✅ Ask for their input when making decisions: ↳ Listening to their opinions and feedback when making decisions helps them feel valued. ✅ Ensure fair compensation: ↳ Salary gaps between loyal staff and new hires are a sure way to lose trust. ↳ Regularly review and adjust compensations and benefits. Be the leader you wish you had. ♻️ Repost to promote healthier work cultures. Credit: Dora Vanourek
