Congrats to all the runners at the Adel Sweet Corn Festival 5k today! Great work! Our Director, Suzanne, and Community Health team, Abigail & Natalie, helped with traffic control and cheering the runners/walkers on.

This week our team helped get Waukee Community School District families ready for school at the Back to School Family Resource Fair! Amy looked up vaccine records to assure students could confidently show up on day one without being turned away. Natalie provided health education on mental health and nutrition. Ann, Vivian, and Abigail represented the Health Navigation team, connecting families with dental and medical homes. Let’s see your green! Today our team wears green to raise awareness of the #MakeItOk campaign and efforts to destigmatize mental health so people get the care they deserve.

Today we got our hands dirty and planted the office garden! This #MentalHealthMonth team activity allowed us to take a break to 'Stop and Smell the Flowers'. Research shows that gardening helps reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Our office garden is available to our team all summer long, for outdoor breaks and healthy treats.
