This summer, Darana Hybrid was thrilled to sponsor the Summer Manufacturing Institute Camp, a collaborative initiative hosted with North End Community Improvement Collaborative, Inc (NECIC), EPIK Ltd., and supported by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown's office. Held in Richland County, this program provided a dynamic platform for students from grades 5-8 to delve into sustainability and manufacturing. Our engagement equipped these young innovators with specialized educational kits and a curriculum developed by our partners at EPIK Ltd., empowering them to tackle real-world challenges through hands-on projects and teamwork. Camp Highlights: - Interactive Sessions: Students engaged in water sustainability projects using Darana Hybrid's cutting-edge electrical and hydropower kits. - Educational Tours: Visits to local manufacturing facilities and infrastructure showcased the practical applications of their newfound skills. Darana Hybrid, Inc. and TMF Metal Solutions were thrilled to host the second annual AMIP teacher externships! This year, we welcomed dedicated educators from Norwood and Princeton schools. Our externs teamed up with our community development and training team to dive into our advanced manufacturing and construction processes. They explored various job roles, discovering firsthand how these skills relate to their classroom teachings. The highlight of our program included participating in The Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton Innovators Camp. The teachers engaged in a hands-on class about electrical circuits and enjoyed an inspiring tour at 80 Acres Farms. We are immensely grateful to our partners and the enthusiastic involvement of our externs. Watching these experiences shape the futures of their students and their own professional paths is incredibly rewarding. Darana Hybrid and TMF Metal Solutions were pleased to host Hamilton High School students in the Construction Pre-Apprenticeship at our facility. We were joined for a lunch, lesson, and tour by community leaders from; City of Hamilton, Ohio, Senator George Lang, Representative Jennifer Gross, Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, Sinclair Community College, Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton, Marshall High School Hamilton Campus , and Oakmont Education.    Students learned about communication skills and their role in life and employability through REAL discussions with these leaders and our staff. The tour was a hands-on opportunity for both students and leadership to experience our facility and explore the many careers and opportunities right in their backyard.    Through this unique partnership, Darana Hybrid presents credential-capable training by utilizing NCCER Core as a method to prepare students for entry-level positions on project sites by providing the basics in safety, hand and power tools, construction math, materials handling, construction drawings, rigging and employability skills. This curriculum accompanies Hamilton’s Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program made possible through Sinclair Community College and enables students to meet graduation requirements. #HamiltonOhio #YouthEmpowerment #SkilledTrades #CareerDevelopment

This week, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend another remarkable ABC Ohio Valley Chapter event—a testament to our ongoing commitment to not only sponsor but also actively engage with our community and industry leaders. At the event, we were privileged to listen to Lt. Governor John Husted and Steve Stivers discuss the promising workforce programs initiated by the state of Ohio. His insights into fostering a robust workforce were enlightening and underscored the importance of our industry's connection with legislative efforts and educational programs aimed at building the future of construction. Moreover, this event served as a fantastic platform for connecting with other construction leaders and legislative figures throughout Ohio. These interactions are invaluable, allowing us to share ideas, challenges, and solutions, furthering our mission to innovate and continue to be North America's leader in electro-mechanical solutions. We are proud to mention that our participation in such events is part of our broader engagement with industry leadership and advocacy efforts, as evidenced by our active membership in the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
