Sydney has been promoted to Houston Civil Lead! She has over 11 years of experience working with private and public sector clients throughout the greater Houston area and Louisiana. In this new role, Sydney will lead the Civil Houston Team to success while collaborating with executives on strategic initiatives. Congratulations, Sydney!

⭐Project Spotlight: The Commons at Clearview City Center This new 4,000 square foot retail building replaced the existing shopping center on Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. The project includes a new Ruby Slipper as well as renovations to surrounding building facades to give the site a comprehensive look. The design enhances the outdoor spaces with lighting, landscaping, wall murals, and pergolas at pedestrian plazas. Site upgrades include new lighting, updated landscaping, and parking upgrades.

Congratulations to Demi on her promotion to Marketing Manager! As a new employee, Demi demonstrated excellence as she was immediately tasked with the implementation of DDG's rebrand and new website. Over the course of her career at DDG, Demi’s strengths became quite visible to all within the firm. She exudes our firm’s Core Values and continuously handles pressure with grace. In this new supervisory role, she manages and oversees daily tasks of the team’s proposal compilations, marketing materials, presentations, swag, website, and content for social media and newsletters. Demi ensures the team meets all deadlines and expectations. She is an invaluable member of #TeamDDG and we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for her!

Greg has been promoted to the Acadiana Civil Lead! Greg has over 10 years of experience practicing civil engineering across Louisiana. His vast knowledge of the field and regional community awareness will allow him to excel in his new role in leading others to success. As the Acadiana Civil Lead, Greg will lead DDG’s Lafayette Civil Engineering team. Congratulations to Joseph on his promotion to Civil Engineering Regional Manager! Joseph has over a decade of experience and quickly began to meet the needs of each client. His deep knowledge of the industry has prepared him for this role, and we are excited to see what the future holds! As a regional manager, Joseph will provide strategic leadership and direction for civil engineering operations within a designated geographic region. Kyle has always had an interest in creating beautiful spaces using essential and decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials. We are proud of Kyle for extending his knowledge and are excited to have him share his skills with future clients.

WE’RE EXPANDING! We are thrilled to announce that DDG is expanding our operations with a new office in Mississippi! DDG now has 8 locations across the Gulf South. The Mississippi office will be led by Kevin Yates, PE. Kevin brings a wealth of experience in the Mississippi public works arena and has established a proven track record of successful project delivery leveraging long-term relationships in the region. Will Krosp, PE, a tenured DDG team member, will serve as the Senior Project Manager and Technical Lead. We are eager to explore this market further by collaborating, planning, designing, and managing solutions that enhance the Mississippi community.

Project Spotlight: Lafourche Parish Community Center DDG was contracted by Lafourche Parish Government for full architectural design and site civil to design a 15,000 SF community and recreation center. The main gym space accommodates volleyball and basketball with seating for 300 people. In a cross court arrangement there is two volleyball courts with seating for 150 people and two practice basketball courts. A full service catering kitchen was also provided, and the structure has emergency power to run the entire facility. The center is able to handle local club meetings as well. This project was funded by the Louisiana Recovery Authority as a result of Hurricane Gustav.
