Celebrating Women in Science at DeepCure! In honor of Women's International Month, we're thrilled to direct the spotlight on the incredible female scientists driving innovation and excellence here at DeepCure. Meet Dana Logviniuk, Ph.D, a Scientist of Synthetic Organic Chemistry, working as part of our Molecular Foundry team in Israel, with a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from Tel Aviv University. Dana is experienced in the design and synthesis of small molecules and the research of their impact on various biological organisms. At DeepCure, she brings this knowledge to the interface with automation, driving forth the efforts of our Molecular Foundry team in automated chemistry.
When did you know/decide you wanted to be a scientist, and why?
“I never aspired to be a scientist, but science and especially chemistry have always fascinated me. In the 9th grade, I decided I wanted to take chemistry as a major in school, and the rest is history"
Did you have a role model who played an essential role in your life choices or
who made a difference in your life why?
“Marie Curie, a Nobel prize winner in chemistry. A proof that a curious mind and science can lead to a world-changing impact.”
What should we all do or know to make our environment better and more
equal?
“I have been surrounded by brilliant people, both men and women, throughout my entire academic and industrial career, and this proves that the human mind is capable of everything that a strong desire and effort are put into.
Mutual understanding and respect are the base of everything.”
Let's continue to empower and support the next generation of female scientists, ensuring a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
