Last week, DT held its annual golf tournament (the DTGI) at The Cardinal at Saint John’s Resort, in Plymouth, MI. The winners of the tournament were Tayler Leamon, Jenna LeGault, Jarett Smith, and Michael Marx. Ben Lesnick won the longest drive award and Paul B. Hines won the closest to the pin award. DT looks forward to continuing the tradition next year.

The Fire threatens properties in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. Impacted ZIP codes include 93243, 91310, and 91384. The #Hesperia Fire ignited at 6:49 p.m. on June 15, 2024 near the 18000 block of North Highway 173 near Arrowhead Lake Road in Hesperia, CA (San Bernadino County). The impacted ZIP code is 92352. The #Point Fire ignited at 12:33 p.m. on June 16, 2024 in Sonoma County. The fire ignited in the unincorporated area known as Geyserville, CA. . Impacted ZIP codes include 95441 and 95448. The #Sites Fire ignited on June 17, 2024 at 1:39 p.m. along Sites Lodoga Road near Wilson Creek in Colusa County, California. Impacted ZIP codes include 95979, 95987, and 95988. The #Aero Fire ignited on June 17, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. The fire originated along Aero Road and Hunt Road, near Highway 4 north of Copperopolis, CA. The impacted ZIP code is 95228. New Mexico: The #South Fork Fire ignited around 9:00 a.m. on June 17, 2024 in the Village of Ruidoso, New Mexico (the same Village where the McBride Fire ignited in 2022). Approximately 500 structures are reportedly damaged. The Fire is currently burning on Mescalero Tribal Land and in the U.S. National Forest. Impacted ZIP codes include 88340 and 88345. The #Salt Fire also ignited around 9:00 a.m. on June 17, 2024 in Otero County, south of the Village of Ruidoso. Impacted ZIP codes include 88340 and 88345. DT’s wildland fire origin and cause experts are at the ready to begin their investigation as soon as authorities permit access. This week, DT Partners Paul Casetta and Glenn Mattar attended the Loss Executives Association (#LEA) Annual Spring Educational Conference in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. As always, the Conference had fantastic educational workshops and it was great to catch up with clients as well as colleagues. Additionally, the LEA golf outing was a great time, with Glenn even winning the closest to the pin award. Yesterday, DT Partners Todd Denenberg and Geoff F. attended the 2024 #PICG (Property Insurance Claims Group) Conference at Hall One King’s Place in London. Earlier this week, DT Partners Jarett Smith and Glenn Mattar attended the 2024 #PLRB Claims Conference in Boston, MA. Yesterday, the Texas A&M Forest Service reported that both the Smokehouse Creek and Windy Deuce Wildfires were ignited by power lines owned, operated, and maintained by an electrical utility provider. The involved utility provider publicly conceded that its equipment was involved in the ignition of the Smokehouse Creek Wildfire, but currently denies its equipment was involved in the Windy Deuce Wildfire. The #Smokehouse Creek Wildfire is now the largest wildfire in Texas history. Impacted ZIP codes include 79083, 79007, 79059, 79014, 79046, and 73832 The #WindyDeuce Wildfire has impacted properties in the following ZIP codes: 79036, 79068, and 79108. DT’s team of experts is preparing to start their investigation as soon as State officials permit site access.
