We are excited to announce that we have changed the title of one of our program roles from "Educational SEL Counselor" to "Denver Kids Advisor" to better reflect the comprehensive support we provide. Why the change? - Denver Kids Advisors offer personalized academic, social-emotional, and future planning support. - The new title helps clarify our role and better communicates the unique support we offer while also reinforcing our strong partnership with Denver Public Schools and the community. This change will help us continue to empower our students to shape their lives, complete high school, and pursue postsecondary options. Thank you for your support!

May is a big month with so many Denver Kids students achieving graduation milestones. We always strive to ensure our students feel celebrated for these big accomplishments. One way we do this is through our annual Senior Celebration event. This year's celebration was one for the books, bringing together students, families, and staff to honor our graduating seniors. Held at the Carla Madison Rec Center Rooftop, the event was filled with graduation cap decorating, a photo booth, games, laughter, delicious food, and plenty of memorable moments. Be sure to check out the full 2024 Senior Celebration photo album here: https://buff.ly/3RM3gzM

Today is Juneteenth (June 19th), a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Otherwise known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, or Emancipation Day, Juneteenth celebrates the freedom and history of Black and African American people. Denver Kids is committed to empowering young minds and fostering an inclusive environment where every voice matters. Looking for a way to celebrate today? With a total of 44 dedicated runners, including 5 relay teams, Denver Kids once again participated in the Denver Colfax Marathon as a charity partner. Our dedicated runners fundraised on our behalf, supporting our mission and students. We had runners participating in every race category — including 5 students in the Colfax Marathon Fly Fleet program. We are thrilled to report that our teams and individual runners helped us make a significant impact. Thank you to our dedicated runners, supportive donors, and the Denver Colfax Marathon for helping us make a meaningful difference in our community. Be sure to check out The Denver Post article about Denver Kids students participating in the new Colfax Marathon Fly Feet Program this year! https://lnkd.in/g9YmDZUC
