DFI understands the complexities of all types of projects and manage our services in the most effective and efficient means possible. Our business strives to provide quality, innovative and timely service, and engineering solutions that are within budget. The company is the "right size" to ensure the client has access, consistency and focus on their projects. DFI has over 120 professional construction project managers and inspectors, as well as numerous civil, transportation and environmental engineers, as well as other support staff that are involved in providing the services a client needs for their project, whether it is in the development of a highway or other transportation-related projects, as well as sewer and water or utilities-oriented plans. Ray Streib, a professional engineer, P.E., started DFI in 1978 after multiple requests from a group of private developers in Anne Arundel looking for a civil engineering firm to assist in facilitating the permitting process for their projects. From there the company grew to include top quality project management and inspection services, as well as survey services, to facilitate their development projects.
