About us
DiCiM is a project that revolves around the value use and value recovery phases of the Circular Value Model (CVM). We aim to demonstrate integrated digital solutions in four use cases in three industrial sectors that represent over two-thirds of the European Economy. They include whitegoods (i.e. refrigerators, washing machines), electronics (i.e. printers) and automotive. DiCiM digital solutions will boost new circular economy business models based on value recovery activities to sustain and encourage remanufacturing throughout Europe.

🌟 On September 8, 2024, the Masaryk University (MU) team proudly presented the #DiCiM project at the annual Science Festival—the largest science event in Brno, Czechia! 🌍💡 Our team, represented by Michal Krčál, Radoslav Skapa and Alena Klapalová, showcased how digital technologies can enhance value recovery processes, contributing to more sustainable practices. As part of our interactive presentation, we engaged visitors with an online quiz, AI simulations, and insights into the circular economy—a key focus of the #DiCiM project that emphasizes sustainability through the reuse and recovery of materials. ♻️ A big thank you to our project partners, Lexmark, Arçelik Türkiye, and Gorenje GSI, for providing essential materials for our demonstrations and helping us make this event a success! 🙌

🗓 Wednesday during Automechanika Frankfurt, APRA Europe will organize the Remanufacturing Day. Therefore Peter Bartel will talk about the actual and upcoming legal framework in the EU. The recently reconfirmed EU Green Deal will have a major impact in our Remanufacturing Business in the Automotive Aftermarket. Several legal initiatives have been developed by the EU over the last years and are now in the process of enforcement.
