Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a Challenge Day for the students on UTC Heathrow’s award-winning Digital Futures Programme at Lee Valley White Water Centre.🌊 Since November 2022, we’ve supported UTC Heathrow as one of its institutional partners, supporting the development and learning of students and sharing our teams’ technical expertise across the spectrum of #datacentre design, engineering and operational disciplines. The challenge day was a brilliant opportunity for the students to step out of the classroom and immerse themselves in practical, teambuilding activities that mirrored the real-world challenges of data centre operations. A huge thank you to the students for making the day a success and embracing the spirit of learning and teamwork with such enthusiasm and energy! #EngineeredForAI #DataCentres #DigitalFutures #EarlyTalent #TeamBuilding Mike Halliday Reiss Simms-Williams Activate Learning Education Trust Mike Tamblingson Wendy Weight Bailey Charlotte Smallwood Adam Nethersole Rod Faul Tristan Van den berg Rory Flashman-Wells

When you absolutely, definitely need to show students how to work in teams, call Kao Data ! Last week the fiercely passionate Adam Nethersole, Mike Tamblingson, Rod Faul and Charlotte Smallwood, supported by the excellent Rory Flashman-Wells challenged students from the Digital Futures Programme to work in a team, and to work with other teams! I was on the UPS team and the students worked to solve the problems they faced, communicating well and figuring out the answers. We spent the day at Lee Valley, and the afternoon was spent white water rafting to put that comms into practice! It was an amazing day, and quite obvious to see that we are generating a lot of interest in young engineers wanting to join the DC industry.
