Throughout July, several of Dinsmore’s offices participated in a variety of Wellness Wednesday activities. With a focus on decompressing and enjoying each other’s company, attorneys and business professionals in Cincinnati and Indianapolis tapped into their artistic side, worked puzzles and got their steps in while exploring each city. In Lexington, an afternoon went to the dogs with a visit from the Lexington Humane Society. Everyone got to de-stress by giving treats and love to some adoptable pups. Our Houston office enjoyed a taco lunch and journaling for their “Let’s Taco ‘Bout It” day, and in Denver, the office came up with the “Commuter Challenge,” which tracks the mileage and different ways people are getting to work without using their car.

“I can’t explain what this means to my family…” When Dinsmore litigator Barbara Barnstable Edelman (Lexington) attended the recent Research Day at the University of Kentucky’s Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, she was brought to tears by a special announcement. Barbara listened as the Bill Gatton Foundation shared news of a $16 million donation recently made to the diabetes center, which was founded by her family. Ten million dollars establishes The Barbara B. Edelman Endowed Faculty Fund. Before he passed away in 2022, Mr. Gatton expressed his desire to show his gratitude to Barbara for the favorable outcomes she had achieved as his counsel on important business matters. “The fact that a client would think so highly of his attorney, that he would want to honor her in such a unique way, speaks to the service we provide and how much we care.” Click here to read more about this extraordinary gift that expands diabetes research: https://lnkd.in/gCDNpzGz

Please join us in wishing this fantastic group of summer associates ‘good luck’ as they return to law school and continue to develop in their respective practice areas. In May, we welcomed 33 students in 11 cities and from 17 law schools across the country. Each has dedicated the past few months to important projects and had the opportunity to observe client meetings, depositions, mediations and attend court appearances. We can’t wait to watch their careers progress!
