ECHO is proud to introduce Peter Sandin, Regional Sales Manager, and Kenyatta Williams, Inventory Control Specialist! Peter is based in Stockholm, Sweden and will be taking care of the Nordic region. He's worked in microscopy for nearly a decade, and prior to that received a PhD in physical chemistry and biochemistry. Peter is excited to introduce ECHO products to users in his area and to support them through their work. "It's always been my favorite part of this job," he says. Kenyatta comes to ECHO from the local San Diego community and is excited to contribute to ECHO's goals and projects. Outside of work, Kenyatta is a professional Kendama athlete for Kendama USA, competing nationally and internationally in the Japanese ball-and-cup skill game. His dream is to compete in the Kendama World Cup in Japan, and he's excited to teach the ECHO community about his love for the game.

Meet Robert Burgamy, Director of Service Operations for the Eastern US, Europe, the UK, and Israel. In July 2024, Robert celebrated six years with ECHO. Robert began his journey at ECHO on the manufacturing team as a Senior Production Technician. “I tried to learn every aspect on the production line, as much as I could,” he recalls. His keen understanding of the systems and commitment to excellence led him to a role on the service team in just six months. Outside of work, Robert enjoys tinkering with motorcycles (see photo!). He draws a connection between his passion and his profession, noting, “It’s the same mindset with troubleshooting or diagnosing microscopes. There are steps, there’s a logical reason why something is behaving that way.” His natural curiosity and methodical approach have made him a key player in ECHO’s service department. Now based in Georgia, Robert manages a broad and diverse region but still values the sense of community at ECHO. Though he misses the daily interactions at the San Diego office, he finds joy in working with his team across the field. “Working with the team out here, George, Noah, Lauren, Nicolette, it’s great seeing them out in the field. It’s like seeing great buddies,” he says.

The ECHO Revolve simplifies microscopy processes with a user-friendly interface, making it easy to capture and annotate images across various microscopy modes. At University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the Wheeler Lab (Nic Wheeler) utilizes Revolve for all their parasite imaging needs in both Inverted and Upright configurations. The lab quickly images parasite eggs and measures fecal flotations using the annotation features on the microscope, without needing additional analysis software, simplifying their lab workflow. If you are interested to see how Revolve may improve your workflow, the lab has designed an amazing protocol around imaging on their Revolve: https://lnkd.in/gy829wxW

At ECHO, we’re constantly amazed and inspired by the impactful research our customers conduct. The Roger Lab at ASU’s School of Molecular Sciences and School of Ocean Features study symbiosis homeostasis across various cnidarians like reef-building corals, upside-down jellyfish and E. diaphana. They use their ECHO Revolve to help understand symbiosis equilibrium and the mechanisms of coral bleaching. See this stunning image of the relationship between endosymbiotic algae and endogenous GFP captured at 1x. Learn more about the labs research at https://lnkd.in/gHXagADw.
