Is it Christmas in July? Because the Ditto engineers have a gift for all you lovely plugin users... 💥 The Ditto plugin has gotten (way, way) faster 💥 We’ve heard your feedback! The team has been hard at work behind the scenes for months to speed up the Ditto plugin within Figma. We’ve seen dramatic performance improvements, and the Ditto plugin should now be notably faster, especially for larger Figma files. Of course, every Figma file will be slightly different, but in our internal tests… ☝ Time to edit a big group of text in the plugin dropped by ~75% ✌ Plugin load time after selecting a group of frames dropped by ~85% Our team is over the moon about these stats, and we want to hear from you too! Are you able to notice an improvement?

Heads up: Component import has gotten even smoother 🤩 Now, when you import files with one or more existing strings, you’re presented with three new options... 1. Create new components from new strings in the file, and ignore existing strings 2. Import existing strings as variant text on components, ignoring any new strings 3. Import existing strings to update base text on components, ignoring new strings Building your centralized component library has never been easier 💪 Give it a try in Ditto today!
