We are excited to share the June plan commission and recent zoning committee approval of our West Pullman industrial center development—a brand new 400,000 square-foot LEED Silver Certified industrial facility that will bring head of household jobs to a 25-acre site that has been vacant for over 50 years. Approximately, 20 years ago the City of Chicago created PMD 10, one of the city's first Planned Manufacturing Districts, in West Pullman to address disinvestment and the longstanding, abandoned industrial sites along 119th Street industrial corridor once home to the nation's largest manufacturers such as International Harvester, Ingersoll Rand, and Borg Warner. The West Pullman Industrial District once provided thousands of jobs in West Pullman, Morgan Park, Victory Heights, and Roseland neighborhoods. DL3 Realty is grateful for the visionary and steadfast support of 21st Ward Alderman Ronnie Mosley as we are now, finally clear to move forward on a project that we have been passionately pursuing for over ten years. Additionally, we appreciate the support and leadership of DPD Commissioner @Cierre Boatright, Erika Sellke, AICP Chicago Department of Planning and Development, Abraham Lacy Far South Community Development Corporation, and local elected officials including, State Representatives, Justin Slaughter (27th District), Robert "Bob" Rita (28th District), Cook County Commissioner Monica Gordon, and Congressman Jonathan Jackson.
