One of the few fully physician board national policy and training non-profit organizations informed by the active experience of being physicians on the frontlines of patient care. Our work has changed policy in hospitals, state legislature, and federal bureaucracies through active teaching programs over the past decade. One of our premiere causes, Direct Primary Care, seeks to protect the legal environment for the sanctity of the doctor/patient relationship while in parallel training physicians to adopt the practice model of medicine.

🤷🏽♀️ Why would anyone pay for a Direct Primary Care monthly membership if they don’t need the doctor every month? Justifying a direct primary care membership may seem counterintuitive, especially if you’re healthy and you don’t need the doctor that often. However, the monthly payment is the commitment between you and your doctor to make sure that when you need healthcare services, that you will have a high-quality and dignified experience. When it comes to primary care, I find that most patients want: ✅ access to appointments in a timely fashion ✅ to see THEIR doctor - someone who knows them, and not simply someone filling in for the shift ✅ Enough time to address their concerns and not feel brushed off or rushed ✅ appointments that start on time without being herded and a waiting room or forgotten about an exam room The traditional model of insurance-based care cannot deliver on the above promises. So, in the end, you have to ask yourself. When you need healthcare, what type of experience do you want to have? 🤔 🩺Direct primary care, done well, delivers all of the above.
