They found that the vape tank and vape coil outperformed the vape pod and a marketed pressurized metered-dose inhaler (pMDI) in terms of fine particle fraction, emitted dose, and respirable dose. Notably, the vaping devices showed significantly lower oropharyngeal deposition compared to the pMDI, potentially reducing side effects. The PCBT-liposomes were prepared using thin film dispersion and characterized for size, stability, and drug encapsulation efficiency. In vitro release studies showed improved solubility compared to free pinocembrin. Pharmacokinetic studies in rats demonstrated enhanced oral bioavailability of the liposomal formulation. In vivo studies in diabetic mice revealed that PCBT-liposomes significantly reduced blood glucose levels, improved body weight, and enhanced oral glucose tolerance compared to free pinocembrin. The liposomal formulation also showed protective effects on liver, kidney, and pancreatic tissues, as well as reduced inflammatory markers.
