Duke's Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) provides essential funding and support to Duke programs, faculty and staff to facilitate the acceleration of scientific discoveries into improved outcomes for patients. Duke CTSI is one of over 60 medical research institution members of the CTSA program, a national consortium created to improve how biomedical research is conducted across the country. The CTSA program is led by the NIH's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).

The Duke CTSI Career Development Program requests applications for co-director of the CTSI Career Development Award. The Career Development Program provides training and research opportunities for junior investigators. Selected scholars complete the program equipped and inspired to become successful, independent investigators, making contributions across the entire spectrum of clinical and translational research. 📌 New research! In a collaboration with #DukeCTSI and Dr Opeyemi Olabisi, investigators using two community-based studies at Duke Kannapolis found that COVID vaccination was not associated with onset of APOL1-related kidney disease in Black adults at high risk for the condition. This #COVIDVaccination ➕ #KidneyHealth research used data from the MURDOCK Study and the Duke APOL1 Study.
