What startups or big brands are absolutely crushing marketing right now? This could be: - A genius OOH ad. - An IRL activation that has you saying "F*ck, I should've thought of that." - A GTM strategy that broke the internet. - Insane growth that's being driven by what feels like the Navy Seals of paid marketing - Content marketing that's the opposite of lowest common denominator SEO posts I'm gonna take the best suggestions & write super detail essays about the best marketers, strategies, and campaigns.

We're going into hiring mode at Dupe.com (formerly Carrot) — we will be putting up JDs soon. Immediate need in design is someone to come in and take reigns from me. High level, this isn't going to be a specialized role to start and won't be a "head of" until we grow the team, but will be a fun adventure. DM me. Assume you’ll be running design as we grow if you’re a crusher and undeniably talented.

The behaviors for the user in online shopping were mostly skeuomorphic until recently. Carts, checkouts, thrifting, bazaars, etc. Online shopping wasn’t that different - and often worse - than IRL. An *instant* lookalike marketplace at the click of a button is an example of a radically different experience that AI can bring forth thanks to Dupe.com (formerly Carrot). What a wonderful feature on The TODAY show about how this product is being used by millions of people only two months since launch. dupe.com. 🛍️📲

I'm so proud of the Dupe.com (formerly Carrot) team. We stayed small since our early days working on Carrot and found a breakthrough feature that was resonating with our users. Then had the courage to refocus our entire product to that feature with a creative/new user experience. We relaunched the product under a new name "Dupe" in April and have organically grown users from 0 to 2 million in record time. This morning, the TODAY Show did a segment on Dupe, showing how we're ushering in a new era in shopping while quickly becoming a household name. https://lnkd.in/ei_cSH6A Huge thanks to our employees, investors, and partners for their deep belief and support. This is a fun mile marker, but we'll wake up tomorrow and get back to business as usual; there's quite a bit left to build here. Taking a beat now to enjoy the journey with Ramin Bozorgzadeh 🍻

2 serial entrepreneurs built an app called Dupe that's going viral on TikTok. It's helping people save $1,000+ on furniture. Here's everything you need to know: Bobby Ghoshal and Ramin Bozorgzadeh are the co-founders of Dupe, which helps people find cheaper alternatives to luxury furniture & more. In other words... That $7,000 Herman Miller chair you've been eyeing for years? This app will help you find a "dupe" (aka duplicate) for $1,000. 3 reasons why Dupe went viral: 1) Build something that solves a problem Bobby and Ramin identified that most people love a good deal, especially when doing furniture shopping. Technically speaking, people can find deals on their own by doing a Google Search. So why would they use Dupe? Bobby and Ramin's competitive edge: - Deep understanding of e-commerce user behavior - Gamification of the "thrill of finding a good deal" - They make the search process feel like "discovering a secret" 2) Tapping into GenZ's dupe culture Dupe, short for duplicate, is when you buy a knock-off version of a more expensive item. Previously, owning an overly obvious knockoff was seen as something to feel embarrassed about. With Gen Z’s adoption of this trend, however, finding ‘dupes’ and ‘copies’ is an achievement and is now seen as something to be proud of. The hashtag #dupe has over 3 billion views. Bobby and Ramin spotted a growing trend and hopped on the opportunity to launch Dupe.com (formerly Carrot). Generally speaking, as an entrepreneur, you want to identify a growing market. 3) Advice from a viral app expert Bobby and Ramin are subscribed to Nikita Bier on Intro. Nikita sold his first app to Meta for $100M after it ranked #1 in the App Store. He sold his second app to Discord after reaching more than 1 million daily active users. AKA: he knows a thing or two about designing and launching viral apps. The best way to fast-track your startup's success is to work with an advisor on Intro. On Intro, you can subscribe to someone who has already built the exact business you're trying to build. To recap: 1) Build something that solves a problem 2) Tap into a growing trend / increased demand 3) Partner with a viral app expert -- Found this valuable?
