Due to the excessive heat and high humidity we have been experiencing, our sponsor CareOne has postponed the movie night fundraiser until fall. Instead, as part of their Summer of Sharing program, they would like to host a paint and sip event on behalf of Durand. Recently Durand had the honor of promoting nine students at our Graduation Ceremony. Friends, Family, Support Staff and members of the community joined us as we celebrated all of our students; milestones and accomplishments of this year. In addition to the wonderful remarks of our esteemed Principal Jennifer Amoroso, we were thrilled to receive a letter from the White House and President Biden. During her speech, Principal Jen reminded everyone to be all you can be, embrace the growth from trying and making mistakes and know that each student displayed high levels of resiliency and determination during his or her time at Durand. A small reception was held after so that families could interact with one another, discuss the future and reminisce about making it through Covid, and all of the changes, growth and success each student had over the last few year. CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2024!

We're hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst! The BCBA assesses and analyzes consumer behaviors. Writes behavioral programs and Functional Behavioral Assessments with documentation requirements, and prepares summaries, graphs and progress notes applicable to the behavioral programs. Writes skill acquisition programs that use personal outcome methodologies. Supports the program managers and direct care employees through training, modeling, and mentoring of behavior and skill acquisition programming.
