🌟 Operation Slumber was an unforgettable overnight adventure on the Intrepid! 🚢 DYCD brought 80 youth and 20 chaperones to stay onboard overnight at the Intrepid Museum. Participants explored what it takes to live, eat, and sleep aboard an aircraft carrier! With guided tours on the flight deck, unlimited simulator rides, and hands-on educational activities, it was an amazing experience for everyone on-board! #YouthEmpowerment #OperationSlumber #DYCD #NYCYouth #Intrepid

Last week, Commissioner Keith Howard and Deputy Mayor Ana Almanzar celebrated with a pre-game recognition at Yankee Stadium for Summer Night Lights! ⚾️ Starting July 10th, you can watch ✨FREE✨ baseball and co-ed softball leagues at Elston Gene Howard Field in the Bronx—across the street from the historic site of the original Yankee Stadium. ⚾️ This initiative, proudly supported by DYCD, New York @Yankees, @nypdbluechips, @NYCParks, and @scan_harbor, provides our youth with recreation, social responsibility, and healthy competition! 🕔 Join us every Tuesday and Wednesday night from July 10 to August 31, 2024, 4 PM to 10 PM! 👉 Don’t miss out on the fun—bring your friends and family!

🌞 Summer Rising 2024 has begun! 🌞 In partnership with DYCD and NYC Public Schools, nearly 600 programs, overseen by 114 community-based organizations, are serving a record 110,000 K-8 young people!
