About us
For more than 100 years we have worked tirelessly with our partners to enhance quality of life and expand local access to healthcare, education and employment opportunities. Easterseals Southern California provides essential services and on-the-ground supports to more than 18,000 people each year—from early childhood programs for the critical first five years, to autism services, daily and independent living services for adults, employment programs, veterans’ services and more. Our public education, policy and advocacy initiatives positively shape perceptions and address the urgent and evolving needs of the one in four Americans with disabilities today. Together, we’re empowering people with disabilities, families and communities to be full and equal participants in society.

Easterseals Southern California President & CEO. Passionate disability advocate leading the way to full equity, inclusion & access for people with disabilities.
Disability Pride Month 2024 was truly amazing from start to finish! With the launch of our "Disability is not a Dirty Word" PSA campaign, the raising of the Disability Pride flag from Riverside to Long Beach, and celebrating with over 1,000 partners, associates, and supporters at Angel Stadium on Saturday, July 13th, Southern California was bursting end-to-end with recognition of the disability community. A special thank you to the Los Angeles Angels for hosting "Easterseals Night" at Angel Stadium for the fifth consecutive year, and to CVS Health for throwing a fantastic tailgate party underneath the "Big A" sign in the parking lot. I was thrilled to deliver the game ball to the pitcher's mound alongside our Board of Directors' Vice Chair Maria Serrao and Chair Mark Bertrand. #Angels #DisabilityPride

Andy Arias, actor and cast member of the 'Disability is Not a Dirty Word' PSA, speaks passionately about embracing the term 'disability' with honesty and clarity. He emphasizes that it's a word we should use openly, rather than shrouding it in euphemisms like 'special needs' or 'challenges.' We all might face disabilities at some point, and acknowledging it openly helps us move past discomfort and foster true understanding. Let’s normalize the conversation and embrace this term with confidence. Stay tuned for a few more clips coming soon. Watch the full clip here: https://bit.ly/3SUSHuI.

He’s a passionate advocate for kindness and recently made history as the first actor with autism to lead a Hallmark movie, "Our Christmas Journey," alongside Holly Robinson Peete and Lyriq Bent.
