With eagerness, we are happy to announce and celebrate our Forest Leaders for ILM Seed Grant Awardees. 👏 🥁 Drum roll, please… 15 incredible proposals have been selected to receive $5,000 each to implement projects related to: 🏛 Strengthening governance 🤝 Connecting people and landscapes 💥 Creating landscape action plans 🌿 Regenerating healthy landscapes and more! The awardees represent Model Forests across Latin America and Brazil, who participated in our Forest Leaders for Integrated Landscape Management Program, which was launched in March. Congratulations to all the winners! 🎉 We look forward to seeing success in your projects throughout the rest of this year. This project has been possible thanks to collaboration from 1000 Landscapes For 1 Billion People, International Model Forest Network, Red Latinoamericana de Bosques Modelo, and generous support from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).

🌍 𝗔𝘀𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘂 🌳🇵🇪 Nos complace compartir los resultados de nuestra reciente visita a los Bosques Modelo Pichanaki y Villa Rica en Perú, realizada del 12 al 21 de julio. Durante esta misión, el equipo de la Red Latinoamericana de Bosques Modelo (RLABM) se centró en brindar asesoría técnica y facilitar intercambios de experiencias con actores locales e internacionales. 🤝 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀: 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮𝘀: Reuniones clave con Rikolto y la Universidad Nacional Intercultural de la Selva Central Juan Santos Atahualpa en Pichanaki. Por otro lado, se tuvieron encuentros clave con descocentro y la Comisión Ambiental Municipal (CAM) de Villa Rica, centradas en iniciativas de sostenibilidad y agroforestería. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗜 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹: Contribuimos con presentaciones sobre enfoque ecosistémico, gestión integrada del paisaje EcoAgriculture Partners y manejo adaptativo; donde promovimos la sostenibilidad y la restauración ambiental. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘀 𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀: Interacción con líderes locales y comunidades, destacando el desarrollo del turismo sostenible en el Parque Temático Ecológico Cabaña Verde y la gestión de microcuencas en Pichanaki. Por otro lado, es muy importante resaltar el recorrido del Café que realizamos en el Bosque Modelo Villa Rica y poder conocer la experiencia que tienen en Sistemas Agroforestales y producción tecnificada de Café tradicional y Café "natural".
