Powering the path forward! Calpine’s Sutter Decarbonization Project, recently selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for a cost-sharing agreement, advances California towards a cleaner energy future. Upon completion, the project will capture up to 95% of existing carbon dioxide emissions from two turbines that produces 550MW of energy, enabling the facility to produce reliable, dispatchable, low-carbon electricity and providing energy.
