The EDC, in collaboration with Delaware North, hosted a VIP tour of NASA's Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, specially curated for Amazon executives. The tour introduced the rich history and cutting-edge advancements in the space industry, aligning with Amazon's strategic investment in the region through Project Kuiper. This unique experience underscored the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's pivotal role in promoting STEM learning. It also provided Amazon executives with a comprehensive understanding of the past, present, and future of space exploration, as they further cement their footprint in the area. About Project Kuiper Project Kuiper, Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband initiative, is making significant strides with the construction of a $120 million satellite processing facility. This is further bolstered by Amazon’s announcement of a second adjacent facility, increasing their total investment at this site to over $140 million. These integration facilities will be pivotal in streamlining operations, receiving satellite shipments, and integrating them with launch vehicles from industry leaders like Blue Origin, SpaceX, and United Launch Alliance (ULA).
