Interestingly, 79% of this year’s gold winners challenged category conventions, compared to 64% of non-winners. The campaign broke with convention to help untether Workday from its more limited reputation as an HR specialist, ultimately boosting brand consideration by +65% and building greater recognition for Workday’s broader product portfolio. A trend worth noting: TikTok usage has gone up from 27% in 2022 to 37% in 2023, to 52% in 2024. A great example that showcases a brand’s effective use of TikTok comes from #effieus winners The General® Car Insurance and Energy BBDO.
