Lately, there have been reports on cheating in exams, especially the NEET exams in India which created an uproar in the media.   There are many reports that cheating happens in every other country and it’s the common feeling that it’s inevitable.   In the absence of invigilators and students themselves taking responsibility and ensuring fairness, what can we do to prevent and ensure such malpractice doesn’t happen?   These are some suggestions we have come up with: -- Question papers should be prepared online in secured physical locations by multiple sources. -- The authors should sign a declaration that there are no paper trails left in their possession. -- All the students should write the examinations online (may be possible only for high schools. Definitely for exams like NEET ). -- When a state government can provide laptops and tablets to all the students in some states in India, they should be able to have computers for writing exams. -- The examinations should be open-book exams. I remember when I wrote the open-book exam in my college days, it was like a fish from a pond dropped in the ocean. The open book removes the copying to a certain extent, even though not fully, like the leakage of question papers. It kindles the application of knowledge, rather than their ability to memorize facts. It's difficult to have an open book in certain subjects. It takes an extra effort for the exam paper preparers to get imaginative. #edTech #teachers #students #NEET #schools

I’m not sure if Craig and the Apple team really parachuted into Apple Park or it was another AI generated video, but the keynote of WWDC 2024 was different from previous years with the parachuting and Tim on the roof of Apple Park (Apple’s HQ) kick starting the WWDC 2024. I’m sure visionOS and the VR products are to give us the new experience in narrowing the distance between places to almost like being present in 3D world. It’s a great tool which can revolutionize healthcare, engineering industries besides the entertainment industry. With vision Pro 2 can reproduce two 4K monitors experience, I can imagine a video game developer can work from the backseat of a car seamlessly with just a MacBook Pro, just like he is working in his studio with huge 4K monitors. I would love to get one of those Vision Pros for myself for those long flights from SFO to India. But the price is something holding me back ($3.5 to 4K). Hopefully the price should reduce in a few years. However, the parents advise to reduce the screen time for their children and keep the screens away as much as possible. The visionOS and the Apple’s Vision Pro VR headset is bringing the screen from 2 feet to 2 inches to our eyes. I would like to see how Haley Allen and Mike Robkwell address them. Rewrite is a cool app. To make sure your emails or memos don’t look unprofessional in office or too professional to a friend or family member. Sorry Grammerly. Best feature I like very much as a company who develop mobile apps as their products is operating your iPhone from your Mac. It makes the life easier for our marketing, engineering and QA teams. Marketing team can show potential customers how mobile app works from Mac connecting your iPhone. Earlier we had to use USB or USB-C or same network. The engineering team can demo their work to other teams. Apple is one the first companies to integrate AI with its OS and hardware products. Integrating ChatGPT with Siri so that you can use ChatGPT 4 models when asking something Siri. Cool thing about it is that someone who is skeptical of creating an account with ChatGPT can use Siri without a ChatGPT account. From the interview to Bloomburg, Steve Waznoik is not much impressed. One thing we have to remember is that, Apple products are not only developed for the smart technocrats like him but also for many of the hairdressers and burger flippers. With the ChatGPT integration and using various LLMs and private cloud for Apple users, hope they’re not tempted to increase the price drastically. We have to wait for the OS 18 versions released in the later months of the year. Look out for the article on how the new features can be used in EdTech domain. It’s the norm that the bottom of the leadership hierarchy look for help above and never the other way around. The magic happens when the leadership seek help from the the team. They get motivated to give 100% of their potential, because: — they feel they are recognized for their ability — they get the confidence to explore new ideas But, never look down upon their leadership.

While developing an awesome product, we were also brainstorming on the vision and mission of our company. While talking about the road map of where we want to be in 5 or 10 years over a cup of coffee came up with the following: 1. Service over Sales. 2. Honor over Hustle. 3. People over Profits. We chose our team carefully keeping the above vision and ensuring that the team reflects these values. #EdTech #SaaS
