It's time to reconsider what we call "soft" skills. These are, in fact, the core competencies that drive meaningful change in organizations. These skills differentiate true leaders from task managers. Traditionally, we've focused on: • Technical expertise • Industry certifications • Years of experience While these remain important, we must equally value individuals who exhibit: • Strong emotional intelligence • Adaptability in dynamic environments • Clear and empathetic communication These aren't supplementary skills – they're fundamental for sustained success. Even the most advanced technical knowledge is insufficient without these crucial abilities. We need to address some critical questions: 1. Why do we promote individuals who struggle with their team? 2. Why do we continue to undervalue these essential skills? 3. Why do we overlook candidates who possess them? It's time for a paradigm shift. We need to prioritize comprehensive leadership. These aren't just "soft" skills – they're the human competencies that propel organizations toward real growth and innovation. In today's business landscape, they're non-negotiable. We invite you to join our webinar on July 25th to explore how to develop these skills in yourself and your teams. Together, let's lead the change in redefining essential leadership skills.

✨ Reflecting on a Year of Leadership Growth ✨ After a year long journey with the Emerging Human Catalyst Program, I'm thrilled to share how this experience has shaped my leadership path and approach. Dedicating time to reflect on my values, intentions, and past experiences has really helped me to understand who I am today as a leader and the areas where I want to focus my future growth. I've learned so much about my limiting beliefs, my leadership identity, and what was holding me back from using my voice and playing big! Here are my top 3 learnings: 1. Self-reflection is key to personal and professional growth 🌱 2. Resilience requires a solid plan 💪 3. Celebrating small wins fuels the journey to success 🎉 I couldn't have done this without the support and perspective gained from my fellow Power Circle members and our facilitator. Special thanks to Dan Russon and Robert Prigge for encouraging my participation and checking in regularly, to Great Hill Partners and Tracy Keogh for initiating this program 🙌 and last but not least, to my sponsor Ervinna Lim for the constant support and encouragement over the last year! For anyone considering this journey, get ready for an incredible year of growth and transformation. This experience was eye-opening for me, and I feel empowered now to step into my full potential. 🚀

As June unfolds, it’s a time to celebrate the vibrant spectrum of human experiences. In the spirit of Pride Month, I am reminded of the core values that drive us at Emerging Women: authenticity, inclusivity, and the freedom to be unapologetically ourselves. Pride isn't just about parades and rainbow flags; it's a powerful affirmation of identity, rights, and love. It reminds us that the journey towards authenticity can be challenging, requiring courage and resilience. But it’s also a celebration of the progress made and the communities that support us along the way.👏👏🏾👏🏻👏🏿 Here's what we stand for every day, and especially during Pride Month: ⭐️ Authenticity: Just as the LGBTQ+ community champions the right to live openly and truthfully, we encourage everyone in our network to embrace their true selves. ⭐️ Inclusivity: There is no "normal." Each of us is unique, and that diversity makes our community extraordinarily powerful. ⭐️ Interconnectedness: Our battles and triumphs are shared. When we support the rights of one, we uplift us all. This month, I draw inspiration from figures like Elliot Page, Laverne Cox, Bayard Rustin, and Audre Lorde—pioneers who remind us that embracing our identities is not merely a personal triumph but a gift to our communities. Through their courage and visibility, they have paved the way for future generations to live more authentically and with greater acceptance. How can we be better allies?⬇️ Being an ally means more than showing support during Pride; it means advocating and standing up for each other all year round. It involves difficult conversations, it means stepping into spaces of discomfort because that's where growth and understanding flourish. As we celebrate this month, let’s commit to being present not just now but every day, for everyone fighting to be seen and heard. Let's continue to push for a world where everyone can freely express who they are and love who they love. 🌈 Let’s cherish this month as a reminder of our ongoing mission: to empower, to support, and to celebrate every individual in their quest to lead a life of authenticity and freedom. Happy Pride Month—let's make it a celebration of true self-expression and enduring solidarity.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth --> Freedom Day👏👏🏾👏🏻👏🏿 Today marks the day when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, with news that the Civil War had ended and the enslaved were now free. This significant moment not only brought about freedom for thousands of African Americans who had been enslaved, but it also symbolizes resilience, liberation, and the ongoing fight for equality and justice. Juneteenth serves as a vital reminder of the struggles and sacrifices made by individuals in the journey toward civil rights and freedom. It is a time to reflect on the past, celebrate the progress made, and recommit to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all. Recognizing Juneteenth is essential in honoring the history and contributions of African Americans, acknowledging the continued challenges they face, and striving for a future where freedom and equality are truly accessible to all.❤️💛💚🖤 #emergingwomen #equitableleadership #Juneteenth #juneteenth2024 #freedomday #blackhistory
