Sites once used for coal-fired power stations are ideal for renewable energy and storage projects, and this transition is already underway. By 2030, half of European coal plants are expected to retire creating opportunities to convert these sites into clean energy hubs using existing infrastructure. ESS is proud to partner with innovators like LEAG in Germany to transition from coal to wind, solar, and LDES.
