Highlights of our progress in 2024 🏅👇 We passed the 1TWh milestone in annual biomethane production capacity in Europe thanks to the acquisition of 2 new units 🎉 Located in the Netherlands, these two new plants have an annual biomethane production capacity of 90 GWh and 47 GWh respectively. ENGIE is one of the leader in biomethane in France with an annual production capacity of 0.7 TWh. These two new acquisitions, which follow those of Ixora Energy Ltd and Rainbarrow Farm in the UK, strengthen the Group's presence in Europe, bringing its installed production capacity to 1.1 TWh. Looking back at our 2024 milestones 🏆🔍 In Chile, ENGIE starts commercial operation of the largest Battery Energy Storage System in Latin America. This system has a storage capacity of 638 MWh, with 139 MW of installed capacity. This co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology uses lithium batteries to store the renewable energy generated by the Coya PV solar plant (180 MWac) based in the Antofagasta Region. Major advances in ENGIE's energy projects 👇 🌬️ France: The Yeu-Noirmoutier offshore wind farm has reached key milestones with the offshore installation of the electrical substation and the first monopiles for the wind turbines. Scheduled for 2025, this project will provide electricity to nearly 800,000 people each year. ✈️ In Nantes, the first stone of the biomass boiler for the Airbus Atlantic site has been laid. This facility will supply 70% of the site's heat needs from renewable energy, avoiding the emission of 6,400 tons of CO₂ per year. ⚡Chile: The Lomas de Taltal Wind Farm and BESS Tamaya energy storage park projects are progressing well, with more than 60% of the work already completed. Once operational, the Lomas de Taltal Wind Farm will provide 342 MW of energy to the national grid, becoming the company's largest renewable energy generation asset in Chile. A look back at what we have achieved so far in 2024 👀👇 Earlier this year, we signed an agreement with Amazon to procure 473MW of renewable energy from the Moray West offshore wind farm in Scotland. Located in the Moray Firth in the northeast of Scotland, the 882MW wind farm is nearing the end of the construction phase and will become fully operational in 2025. 🤝 BASF and ENGIE signed a 7-year Biomethane Purchase Agreement (BPA) in Europe. ENGIE will supply BASF with 2.7 to 3.0 terawatt hours of biomethane. BASF uses certified biomethane at its Ludwigshafen/Germany and Antwerp/Belgium sites as a sustainable alternative to fossil raw materials in its manufacturing process.
