ENSCO was proud to sponsor The Astronauts Memorial Foundation red carpet event in Melbourne, Florida for the premiere of “Fly Me to The Moon.” Parts of the film, starring Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johannson, were filmed on the Space Coast at Kennedy Space Center. The story features the historic events of Launch Complex 34 during the 1960s. At Friday’s event, attendees, including ENSCO employees, were treated to a private reception, a viewing of the movie, and a meet-and-greet with astronauts Winston Scott and Andy Allen. Neil Armstrong’s 1967 Corvette even made a special appearance! #ENSCO #FlyMeToTheMoon #NeilArmstrong #launchrange #KennedySpaceCenter #CapeCanaveral #space #blastoff

ENSCO staff scientist Jonathan Case’s research was featured in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society journal! The article, “Southern Asia’s Intense Thunderstorms: Building Up Resilient Forecasts in the Hindu Kush Himalaya Region,” discusses how improved thunderstorm forecasting/modelling can benefit underserved regions like the Hindu Kush Himalaya, which faces severe storms. The research shows how advanced systems can enhance early warnings and ultimately save lives. Case helped implement this system in HKH, Bangladesh, and Nepal by setting up equipment and training local teams. This initiative highlights ENSCO's commitment to making the world a safer place.
