Thank you to our friends over at Decoding Bio for featuring PRISM, our foundation model for life's chemistry, in their latest newsletter. Since only an estimated 0.1% of life’s chemistry is known, PRISM is a major new tool for decoding the chemical basis of biology and turning that knowledge into new medicines. To check out the excellent Decoding Bio newsletter: https://lnkd.in/e48QXVXu To learn more about PRISM, check out our blog post: https://lnkd.in/g3UMiTA4

This week, members of our drug discovery team will be at the American Society of Mass Spectrometry meeting unveiling some of our recent advances in decoding the chemical basis of life on planet Earth. Come and check out our work! On Monday June 3 from 10:30am - 2:30pm we're presenting two posters: "Structural, Binding Site, and Functional Comparison of PCSK9 Inhibitors Discovered Utilizing a Natural Product Drug Discovery MS Platform." Poster MP 712, Presented by Scientist I Samantha Knott. "Collision Cross Section Prediction using Graph Neural Networks for improved compound identification" Poster MP 472, Presented by Data Scientist II, Shaurya Chanana. On Tuesday, June 4 from 10:30am - 2:30pm we'll have two more posters: "Molecular Networking Reveals Diversity of Phytohormones within a Physalis Diversity Panel" Poster TP 619, Presented by Research Associate II Jennifer Shipp. "Spectral similarity based on Siamese network model embeddings broadly outperforms standard cosine similarities on molecular networking tasks" Post TP 277, Presented by Staff ML Scientist Gennady Voronov. And lastly, our Research Fellow, Tobias Kind will be chairing the session "Small Molecules: Structural Characterization and Quantification" on Tuesday. At Enveda, we define "Global Health" as encompassing both human and planetary health, and so we are thrilled to have our work featured in this Reuters series as part of the Global Health Summit in Geneva, Switzerland. As our founder Viswa Colluru, PhD, PhD says, "Life is chemistry," and this video describes how and why we are creating novel technologies to turn life's chemistry into impactful medicines for patients in need. We also discuss our efforts working to protect global biodiversity in concert with countries around the world through beneficiary agreements. We're so proud to participate in this event -- which is being attended by Viswa and our Director of Policy and Development, Tendai Chisowa, PhD -- and for the opportunity to highlight our work towards protecting and promoting global health. Closing out our celebration of AAPINH month, CEO Viswa Colluru, PhD speaks to how being Asian American has influenced the formation and culture of Enveda. "Enveda's inception is deeply rooted in my personal heritage and upbringing. The challenge in drug discovery is that potential medicines often show promise in the lab but don't always deliver the same results in humans. Before establishing Enveda, I was determined to address this issue directly. Instinctively, my childhood encounters with traditional medicine practices came to mind. Whether it was an upset stomach, a cold, or jaundice, our family's assortment of herbs and remedies was our first port of call. As far as we could tell, they were very effective. In India, where I was raised, these weren't seen as alternative treatments, they were simply medicine. These early experiences instilled in me a strong belief in the power of nature as a source of new medicines, harnessing the wisdom of billions of years of evolution and ancient human knowledge. Why stop at aspirin, metformin, artemisinin, and taxol? Fast forward five years, I'm immensely grateful to have transformed that initial concept into a thriving organization that synergizes modern technology to unlock one of the oldest concepts in drug discovery to its full potential. This journey has been incredibly challenging and absolutely rewarding, and I can't wait for the impact we will make in the years to come."

Today we are excited to make two big announcements! First, we have launched a new collaboration with Microsoft! This collaboration includes access to the computing resources we need to power our novel drug discovery platform and to scale our generative AI models. And speaking of models, the second announcement is that we’ve released the details of our Foundation Model, PRISM (Pretrained Representations Informed by Spectral Masking). PRISM takes advantage of the latest advancements in machine learning that let models learn from unlabeled data. This allowed us to train it on the largest dataset of mass spectra ever assembled – over one billion! – which has improved our ability to translate cryptic mass spectra data into predictions of chemical structures and properties. These predictions point our chemists to the most attractive and amenable molecules in nature to turn into new, impactful medicines. For more details on the collaboration, check out the press release: https://bit.ly/450dnGE And to learn about PRISM, please read our blog post: https://lnkd.in/g3UMiTA4
