Rather than letting this heat go to waste, excess heat export programs enable data centers to repurpose and distribute it to warm homes and buildings in nearby communities. Equinix currently runs several Heat Export initiatives in Europe and the Americas, and is now inviting energy providers and heat network operators from around the world to join its Heat Export program.
