Story time: For those of you out there that know me in real life, you know I’m by no means a “gear guy”. I’ve never been the dude who buys the “latest and greatest” thing to add to my kit. I’m very much a minimalist. If it works I use it, if I don’t need it… by Felicia. So there I was at shot show, and I struck up a conversation with the folks over at ESS (Eye Safety Systems). I met with Greg Oster and he was kind enough to get me a pair of eye pro that is perfect for those who wear ears or helmets for long periods of time. I wasn’t able to tell him afterwards, but these eyes became my favorite pair of eye pro ever. The “suppressor” eyes from ESS have a low profile on the sides so that they don’t dig into your head with ears on. By far the most comfortable eyes I’ve ever had. Last week I got an email from Greg asking how I liked the eyes… Are you kidding me? Who does that? For those of you who know the circus of shot show you know, they will talk to thousands upon thousands of people at the show, and he followed up with me! I’m an absolute no one, bottom of the barrel cop in Vegas and he followed up. That is such a rarity! Not only were they my favorite eyes ever but they cared enough to reach out to me. I am not a paid spokesman, and they have no clue I’m writing this, but credit given where credit is due. To all my operators out there support this company with all their stuff made in the USA!
